Australian Open 2024 doubles wildcards announced

Wildcard entries have been announced for the Australian Open 2024 doubles events, which begin Tuesday 16 January at Melbourne Park.

Six all-Australian pairs have been awarded wildcards into the draws, boosting local representation in the 64-team fields.

The past two years, all-Aussie wildcard teams have won the men's tournament; Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios in 2022, and defending champions Rinky Hijikata and Jason Kubler.

HONOUR ROLL: Australian Open men's doubles

The all-Indian pairing of Anirudh Chandrasekar and Vijay Sundar Prashanth have received the seventh and final men's doubles wildcard, while in the women's event, that wildcard went to the all-Chinese team of Wang Yafan and Yuan Yue.
