Step into the AO spirit before main draw begins. The summer magic starts with Opening Week, bursting with qualifying action, top player showdowns, Ballpark family fun, the first AO LIVE shows, and much, much more.

Opening Ceremony

Saturday 17 Jan

On the eve of the main draw, a new tradition arrives with the first-ever Opening Ceremony to officially launch AO26.

Tennis legend and six-time AO champion Roger Federer will return to Rod Laver Arena, taking the court for a star-studded ‘Battle of the World No. 1s’ with iconic rivals Andre Agassi, Patrick Rafter and Lleyton Hewitt. With amped-up live music performances, it’s set to be an unmissable night of sport and entertainment. It's the show before the show.

Opening Week Showdowns

Get a first look at form as top players sharpen up in front of a packed house on Rod Laver Arena.

Tuesday 13 Jan

The stage is set for a top 10 blockbuster. See world No.3 Alexander Zverev take on world No.8 Lorenzo Musetti in the arena.
