Opening Week is your first chance to step into the AO spirit and soak up everything summer has to offer before main draw begins. It’s a week bursting with firsts — from thrilling qualifying showdowns and charity matches to the Ballpark’s grand opening for families, daily racquet giveaways, and the very first live shows of AO LIVE. Get closer to the players at the Autograph Stage, capture your first AO selfie, and discover new food, music and entertainment around every corner. The AO main draw is coming — but the summer magic starts here.
Opening Week Showdowns
Get a first look at form as top players sharpen up in front of a packed house on Rod Laver Arena.
Tuesday 13 Jan
The stage is set for a top 10 blockbuster. See world No.3 Alexander Zverev take on world No.8 Lorenzo Musetti in the arena.
Wednesday 14 Jan
One point. One chance. $1 million on the line. Winner takes it all. See amateurs and pros, including Carlos Alcaraz and Nick Kyrgios, face off in the AO 1 Point Slam Driven by Kia.
Thursday 15 Jan
Explosive speed and bold ambition clash when world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and unstoppable Aussie Alex de Minaur meet.
Friday 16 Jan
Titans collide when 2x AO champion Jannik Sinner takes on world No.5 Felix Auger-Aliassime, followed by Red Bull BassLine, bringing high-energy tennis and music together.
