New York City is buzzing; the final major tournament in the tennis calendar, the US Open, is here.
The action starts to heat up from Monday 24 August with qualifying week, and peaks at the women’s final on 12 September and men’s final on 13 September.
You might find yourself wondering where you can catch all the hardcourt excitement.
There's great news for Aussie fans. Thanks to the time zone, the prime-time night sessions will conveniently play out during daylight hours in Australia, meaning no midnight wake up calls this time around, unlike Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
The US Open will be broadcast on 9Now from 1am AEST each morning, beginning Monday 31 August. You can catch night sessions from 9am AEST.
In addition to free-to-air TV coverage, there’s also the option to stream the action on Stan Sport, beginning with the star-studded mixed doubles event from 12am AEST on Wednesday 26 August.
Adding the Stan Sport package to an existing Stan subscription allows Australian viewers to watch matches from any court, live and on demand.
If you’re watching from outside Australia, the US Open is televised on a wide array of channels and platforms. Here’s a full list of broadcast partners.
Last week, the US Open received a boost with the news that defending champion Carlos Alcaraz was confirmed on the entry list. It will mark his first Slam of the year since Australian Open 2026, where he was crowned men’s champion.
Alcaraz has been sidelined from the tour for the past four months following a wrist injury sustained at the Barcelona Open in April, and fans have been longing for another chance to witness him in action.
To make matters more enticing, Alcaraz partners with 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams in the mixed doubles after the pair was granted a wildcard.
The singles main draws feature two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, former US Open champions Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek – who won the WTA 1000 events in Cincinnati and Toronto – plus Roland Garros winner Alexander Zverev, 24-time major champion Novak Djokovic, and Australian No.1 Alex de Minaur.
Main-draw action begins Sunday 30 August.
