To enhance their performance over the summer, players can access new ground-breaking wearable resistance technology from LILA.
The company is the latest addition to Tennis Australia’s AO StartUps portfolio.
LILA’s Exogen range of wearable resistance garments offers a compression-based, micro-loading solution to customise exercise prescription to each individual athlete.
This is especially relevant on court, where being able to load the movement patterns and muscle groups specifically used in tennis has long been a challenge.
“LILA’s technology offers immense potential for enhancing tennis performance by allowing us to add micro-loads directly into specific movement areas such as serve arm speed or leg drive,” said Tennis Australia’s Applied Science Manager & Senior Physical Performance Coach Alistair Murphy.
Exogen is rapidly gaining ground as one of the most significant advances in specific coaching, technical conditioning, movement correction and speed training for sport, rehabilitation and fitness.
“Tennis Australia is one the world’s most recognised and respected sporting organisations so when they approached us to explore turbo-charging our growth as part of their cutting edge AO StartUps we absolutely jumped at the opportunity,” LILA Founder Joseph Dolcetti.
“Sharing their common vision and DNA, to innovate and elevate elite performance, this decision was 100 per cent game – set – match!”
The full cohort of AO StartUp companies will be announced in the leadup to Australian Open 2025.
