With season 2024 officially concluding at the Davis Cup Finals on the weekend, clear front-runners emerged after 11 months of thrilling competition.
According to every metric measured in this review, men’s world No.1 Jannik Sinner – who won his first two major titles at the Australian and US Opens – was the standout performer.
And although she finished the season at world No.2, Iga Swiatek led in the majority of women’s categories, reward for dominating the first half of the year.
That didn’t stop new year-end world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka scooping two major titles – the most of any woman – as well as reaching the most finals (7), equalling Swiatek for top-10 wins (11) and building a substantial winning streak of her own.
SABALENKA: Year-end No.1 wants "to dominate like Serena and Iga"
