Kids Tennis Day is back with a bang for AO 2020! Expect a massive day packed with fun, excitement and a wide variety of activities around the Australian Open precinct, there’s no better way to keep the whole family entertained this summer!

Rod Laver Arena

9:30am - 2:30pm

Different to previous AO Kids Tennis Days, this year Rod Laver Arena will be used for player practice, so everyone has a chance to see the world’s best players training for their Australian Open campaign!

AO Ballpark

8:30am - 4:00pm

Visit AO Ballpark will be at Birrarung Marr, offering kids of all ages more summer fun than ever before! From water activities to ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, family-friendly food options, and non-stop entertainment, this is THE place to be this summer holiday!

AO Live Stage

8:30am - 4:00pm

Head down to the AO Live Stage for character stage shows, acoustic music, great food and a turn of the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Spinning wheel for the chance to win a prize!
AO Live Stage features a giant shade structure and misting.

Garden Square

8:30am - 4:00pm

Take a seat at the Garden Square stage, which will feature performances by Ben and Holly, Looney Tunes, the Octanauts and more! 

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots

8:30am - 2:00pm

Get on court with ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, it’s an engaging way to get kids excited about tennis, using scaled nets, smaller racquets and low compression balls to make playing extra fun and easy.

Grand Slam Oval

8:30am - 4:00pm

Grand Slam Oval may be targeted at those over 18, but the vibe is family friendly nevertheless. Pop over in the afternoon for great food options and live entertainment.

Player Practice Village

8:30am-4:00pm

Head down to the new Player Practice Village outside the National Tennis Centre for some quiet time to watch the players get ready for their AO campaign.

9:30am - 2:30pm

Head into Rod Laver Arena throughout the day to see some of the world's best players practicing for the Australian Open! 

Meet Your Favourite Characters

8:30am - 4:00pm

Find all your favourite characters across the whole site, keep an eye out for Bluey, Ugly Dolls, Batman, Peppa Pig and heaps more!
 

Bowlarama

8:30am - 4:00pm

Head on over to the Rod Laver Arena concourse for a play on our giant inflatable. Try your luck at the Bowlarama game for the chance to win a prize!

AO Live Stage

The AO Live Stage will host the Food Truck Park, featuring vendors like Mister Alejandro, SPQR Pizza, Andy McNab Kebabs and more!

Grand Slam Oval

For more fresh produce and flavor , relax on the grass at GSO Countryside as you choose from Hellenic Republic’s Lamb bowl with grain salad or a Grill’d Healthy Burger. For dessert, don’t miss the delicious Mango Passion Pavlova by Cacao, created especially for AO. 

Garden Square

Garden Square will feature the new AO Ham and Mushroom pizza at Gradi.

Making the most of your day

Comfy Clothing

To ensure the kids have the best AO experience possible make sure they dress in comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. Pack hats, an extra layer in case of cooler weather and some activities require closed toed shoes and bathers if you are planning on visiting the Aqua Play Park.

Sunscreen

Australian summer days can get hot! Even if the sun is not out in full, it's important to come prepared with sunscreen to protect you from the UV. If you forget, sunscreen is sold at multiple outlets around the precinct.

Water Bottles

Keep everyone hydrated throughout the day by regularly filling up your water bottle at water stations around the precinct. The Australian Open Fan Shop sell water misters if you forget your own bottle and want an added mister to keep you cool.

Pram Parking

As part of the ongoing effort to make it easy for parents to bring their kids to the AO, Ballpark now has free pram parking available in two locations. Leave your pram in safe hands so that you can focus on enjoying your day.

Parents Room

There is now a parents room within the Ballpark situated directly next door to the Pram Parking. Complete with change table, microwave, and comfy chairs to feed in.

Change Rooms

Ballpark now has a kids change room within Ballpark. Perfect for changing kids back into their dry clothes after all the fun at the Aqua Play Park.
