Global tennis brand Yonex has extended its partnership as the Official Stringer for the Australian Open and will continue to provide this service at all summer of tennis events, continuing a vital partnership.

Yonex will continue to provide a high quality stringing service for the players at the AO and all Summer of Tennis events in 2024.

This year there will be 20 stringers across 14 different countries at the Australian Open stringing room underneath Rod Laver Arena, to make sure the huge demand is met.

At last year’s Australian Open 6938 racquets were restrung by the Yonex Stringing Team, using a remarkable 83,300m of string across the tournament.

Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley said it was great to have Yonex back on board as the tournament’s Official Stringer.

“It’s fantastic to have Yonex back on board as the Official Stringer of the Australian Open. The stringer is such an important job at a Grand Slam tournament and Yonex and their team of dedicated stringers do a brilliant job at it,” he said.

Yonex is equally excited to be back at AO 2024 and for the extension of the partnership.

Yonex will service the qualifying, main draw singles, doubles, mixed doubles, wheelchair and junior events at AO 2024.
