Ways to watch the AO2019 men's final

  • Tennis Australia

Fans are invited to watch the blockbuster men’s final between world No.1 Novak Djokovic and world No.2 Rafael Nadal on a big screen at Margaret Court Arena when the venue opens its doors to ground pass holders this evening.

Fans can enjoy the atmosphere inside the 7500 seat stadium to watch the match live on a specially designed megatron screen suspended from the arena’s roof.

A live DJ and 80 metres of LED screens will keep fans entertained before the match begins.

The newly crowned men’s champion will do a lap of honour at MCA, showing off the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup after the trophy ceremony at Rod Laver Arena.

Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley is expecting a highly competitive final and wants fans to be part of the spectacle.

“This will be the third year we will open the doors to MCA so fans can watch the men’s final live in a stadium atmosphere,” Tiley said.

“When Novak and Rafa play it’s always a great occasion. Their final in 2012 was epic and I know fans will be thrilled to witness the rematch. They’re both in sensational form and it’s exciting to be able to open the stadium and invite everyone to come and be part of the action.”

Gates open at 2.00pm. Fans will be able to access Margaret Court Arena from 7.00pm before play starts at 7.30pm. Ground passes can be purchased at ticketek.com.au.
