Fans will be able to play AO Tennis Smash using an innovative new spatial controller developed by UDU as part of AO StartUps.

UDU have created the world's first spatial controller for mobile gaming that lets you touch, feel and control games like never before.

"At UDU, we're not just creating a product; we're crafting an experience that merges the digital and physical worlds. Our spatial controller is more than just a piece of technology; it's a gateway to a more immersive gaming, where every movement and gesture brings the virtual world to life,” said UDU CEO and Co-Founder Asbjorn Christensen.

“Our collaboration with the Australian Open is a big deal for us. It's not just about technology; it's about connecting people with sports in a fun new way, motivating people to get off the couch and enjoy more immersive mobile tennis. We're excited to see how this partnership will help us grow and bring AO Smash Tennis and our gaming controller to more people.

"Our vision at UDU is to transform mobile gaming into a physically engaging and immersive experience. We believe in the power of play to not only entertain but also to inspire and energise. Our controller is the first step in realising this vision, bringing a new level of interactivity to mobile games.

"Innovation lies at the heart of UDU. We've developed the world's first standalone motion controller for mobile gaming, not just to enhance gameplay but to revolutionise it. This technology is our way of pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the gaming world, offering a unique and active way of playing."

The full cohort of AO StartUp companies will be announced across AO 2024.
