Melbourne’s food scene serves exclusive dishes for the tennis

Australian Open restaurants and food outlets will be serving up a sneak preview of some exclusive AO dishes on Friday, January 4, that will be available during the tournament. 

With only 10 days until the tennis kicks off, head in-store to participating restaurants across Melbourne to buy a unique dish that has been specially made for the biggest sporting event in January.

Australian Open restaurants and food outlets involved include:

Biggie Smalls
Dish: Fish & Chip kbab - fried fish, tartare sauce, lettuce, pickled onions, chips and sriracha
Location: Collingwood and Windsor stores

Mamasita
Dishes:  Kid’s wings (4pcs) - Baked and fried, w a mayo yoghurt dipper
Wings ‘El Tincho‘(8pcs) - Arbol chilli agave glaze
Grilled fish tacos (2pcs) - Valentina mayo, pico verde, cabbage
Barbacoa beef tacos (2pc) - Salsa costeña, crema, onion, coriander
Location: CBD – Collins St

A unique AO dish from Biggie Smalls will be available at Collingwood and Windsor stores.

Burger Project
Dish: Vanilla soft serve with white chocolate shell. (Please note: this exclusive dish will only be sold on January 4 and won’t be available during the tournament).
Location: Chadstone, Collins St and Bourke St stores

Mary and a Little Lamb Food Truck
Dish: Little Lamb Croquettes - Succulent slow cooked lamb in a crispy crumb, served with a fresh Greek salad, eggplant and hummus dip.
Location: The Anchorage Bellarine Festival, The Foreshore, Portarlington

Sushi Sushi
Dish: Blue Uramaki Sushi - Cooked tuna and avocado uramaki lightly dusted with natural blue algae powder.
Location: Glenferrie Rd Store

Hellenic Republic
Dish: Hellenic Republic Fish and Chips - Panko crumbed Lakes Entrance blue grenadier, chips, Greek tartare
Location: Brunswick East, Williamstown, Kew and Brighton stores

With ground passes up for grabs and the chance to try an exclusive dish, food fans are encouraged to get down to participating restaurants to avoid disappointment.
