Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova will attend the Official Australian Open Live Draw as part of the countdown to Australian Open 2018 – and fans in Melbourne can join them from 7:00pm on Thursday January 11, 2018 at Margaret Court Arena.
Tickets for the AO draw are free via Ticketek and fans can attend for a gold-coin donation, with proceeds going to the Australian Tennis Foundation.
The event will feature a special appearance from defending champion Federer, twelve months after winning his 18th major title against Rafael Nadal at Melbourne Park. The world No.2 will be joined by 2008 Australian Open champion and five-time Grand Slam singles champion, Maria Sharapova.
With so many contenders across both sides of the men's and women's singles, where the absence of defending champion Serena Williams opens the door for a new champion, it promises to be one of the most anticipated draws in Grand Slam history.
Hosted by Seven’s Hamish McLachlan, the full draw will be revealed and dissected by a panel of tennis experts including Australian tennis legend Todd Woodbridge. Details are as follows:
Date: Thursday 11 January 2018
Time: 7:00pm (Doors open from 6:15pm)
Venue: Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne Park
The AO Live Draw will be broadcast live on the screens of Seven and live-streamed on ausopen.com. This is a free event and a ticket will be required to enter. Tickets are available through Ticketek.
