Day 5 schedule of play released for AO 2026

Continuing second round action at AO 2026, it’s a day for USA fans with two all-American clashes at the top of the schedule. No.6 seed Jessica Pegula and McCartney Kessler get Day 5 under way at Rod Laver Arena, while over at John Cain Arena, defending champion No.9 seed Madison Keys faces Ashlyn Krueger.

Keys and Krueger are followed by No.8 seed, Ben Shelton, who faces home qualifier Dane Sweeny, fresh from his first-round win against French fan favourite Gael Monfils. 

Novak Djokovic continues his bid for a 25th Grand Slam title and faces another qualifier, Italian Francesco Maestrelli, at RLA.

Headlining the night session, Jannik Sinner will have to contend with home fans as he takes on Australian wildcard James Duckworth, and then No.5 seed and 2023 finalist Elena Rybakina continues her bid for a first AO title against France’s Varvara Gracheva. 

Other stars in action on Day 5 include Iga Swiatek, Lorenzo Musetti, Naomi Osaka and Casper Ruud. 

Play starts at 11.30am at Rod Laver and Margaret Court Arena, and at 11am on all other courts.
