Australian Open prize money increases more than 11 per cent in 2025

The world’s best tennis players will compete for $AU 96.5 million in prize money at Australian Open 2025 – an increase of more than 11.5 per cent on AO 2024.

Prize money has been increased at every round of the Australian Open including qualifying, singles and doubles.

A record $120 million in prize money is on offer across 2025 Australian Summer of Tennis events.

  • Players reaching the second round – $200,000, up 11 per cent
  • Semifinalists will earn $1.1 million, up 11 per cent
  • Singles champions will take home $3.5 million, up 11 per cent
  • Australian Open prize money has more than doubled (119 per cent) from $44 million in 2016 (10 years) and increased more than 36 per cent from $71 million in 2021 (5 years).
