To hone their performance over the summer, players can put their speed and strength to the test using new ground-breaking equipment from 1080 Motion as part of AO StartUps.

1080 Motion is the global market leader in creating user friendly solutions for digital motorised training in elite sports.

“My own first contact with the system was when rehabilitating with my coach after hip surgery to get back to playing elite seniors’ tennis. I loved the experience and have been part of a journey that took the company to the current position as world leaders in elite sports,” said 1080Motion CEO and co-founder Anna-Carin Månsson.

“We have launched a new generation of machines, so much easier to use while being smaller and battery powered. The new software packages 10 years of research and experience to guide you through your training. It will be individualised and challenging while fun and safe.”

Their new self-contained battery powered 1080 Sprint 2 machine provides players with access to a portable variable resistance and assistance solution to load their sport-specific movement patterns like never before.

“We’re really excited to work with 1080Motion to help bring research-grade speed and strength testing to the tennis environment,” Tennis Australia Applied Science Manager & Senior Physical Performance Coach Alistair Murphy said.

The full cohort of AO StartUp companies will be announced across AO 2024.
