Hall is considered one of the greatest wheelchair tennis players of all time. He started playing wheelchair tennis at 19 and turned pro a few years later. He finished world No.1 six times between 1995 and 2005 and won every major title throughout his career. This included nine Australian Open titles, eight US Open titles (and becoming the first non-American to win one) and seven British Opens.
He is also a six-time Paralympic medallist, having won medals in both singles and doubles at the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Games.
He retired with a remarkable singles career win-loss record of 632-111 and was 397-89 in doubles. Hall is now an ITF Wheelchair Tennis ambassador and works as a coach in New South Wales.
