There’s so much happening at the Australian Open. It can be tough to keep up!
That’s why we’re rounding up the best, wildest and most talked-about moments every day of the AO, all in one place, bite-sized and easy to catch up on — so you never miss a moment.
Best shot — Lorenzo Musetti
Lorenzo Musetti reached his first career Australian Open quarterfinal with a straight-sets win over Taylor Fritz, and it was artistry like this that kept the crowd in awe for a little over two hours.
Best form — Elena Rybakina
In terms of dominant women on tour, it’s hard to go past Aryna Sabalenka – but Elena Rybakina is not far behind.
With her 6-1 6-3 win over Elise Mertens, the fifth seed has reached the quarterfinals in all of the last five tournaments she’s entered.
Rybakina has also won 17 of her last 18 matches and is the player with the most WTA-level matches won since Wimbledon 2025.
Could this be the year she adds a second piece of Grand Slam silverware?
Best streak — Amanda Anisimova
With her hard-fought straight sets win over Xinyu Wang, Amanda Anisimova advances to her first career Australian Open quarterfinal.
The fourth seed, who is now the second youngest player (Iga Swiatek is the youngest) to make the quarterfinals at all four women’s singles Grand Slam events this decade, has not dropped a single set all tournament.
After two Grand Slam final losses in 2025, the 24-year-old looks determined to finally hold the trophy aloft.
Best stat — Jessica Pegula
Jessica Pegula loves an All-American showdown.
With a 6-3 6-4 quarterfinal victory over reigning AO champion Madison Keys, the sixth seed has now won 29 of her last 32 matches against compatriots.
Pegula will hope that the record holds in her favour against Anisimova in the quarterfinals.
Best sportsmanship — Jess Pegula and
Madison Keys
