Australian Open 2025: Redefining the experience for global fans

  • ausopen.com

The AO BLUEZONE, a revolutionary digital platform designed to immerse global fans in the magic of the Australian Open, and Animated Feeds are just two cutting edge innovations redefining how tennis is experienced around the world.

AO BLUEZONE is the front row seat and backstage pass to Australian Open 2025, bridging the gap between on court action and behind the scenes magic of the Happy Slam. Whether you’re onsite in the stands, or watching halfway across the world, the BLUEZONE brings the tournament to your fingertips.

“Think of AO BLUEZONE as your personal backstage pass to a lot of moments that help make the AO special. It’s fresh, fun and completely engaging – a celebration of the players, fans and the unique spirit of the Australian Open,” Tennis Australia Chief Content Officer Darren Pearce said.

From access to players warming up and candid corridor interactions, to trending social media highlights and expert analysis, AO BLUEZONE is your daily dose of tennis excitement, tailored for today’s digital fan.

AO 2025 also marks the expansion of Animated Feeds, an innovative fusion of live match streaming and dynamic animated overlays. By integrating skeletal tracking data with animated characters, this mixed-reality experience is designed to captivate a new generation of tennis fans, making the sport more accessible and engaging, particularly for kids and families.

Animated Feeds was developed by AO Labs, the research and development arm of Tennis Australia’s pipeline.

“Both AO BLUEZONE and Animated Feeds are designed to deepen the bond between fans and players, offering rare insights into their personalities and the unique moments that make the AO unforgettable,” Pearce said.

“Through these initiatives we’re building a vibrant global community. Fans will feel closer to the event, celebrate its energy and discover the sport in exciting new ways.”
