The Australian Open and Marriott Bonvoy today announced an exclusive multiyear partnership extension.

Marriott Bonvoy - Marriott International’s portfolio of over 30 brands, award-winning travel program, and endless experiences - returns as the official hotel partner for the Australian Open, as well as official lead-in tournaments the United Cup, Hobart International, Brisbane International and Adelaide International over the Australian Summer of Tennis.

“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Marriott Bonvoy. Just as we strive to create unforgettable moments for our fans by showcasing the world’s best throughout the Summer of Tennis across Australia, Marriott Bonvoy delivers exceptional experiences for their guests through a world-class range of hotels. We’re excited to bring even more innovative and unique experiences to life as our collaboration with Marriott Bonvoy grows,” Tennis Australia Chief Executive Craig Tiley said.

Over the Summer of Tennis, Marriott Bonvoy will host some of the biggest names in tennis, VIPs and tournament officials across its portfolio of hotels including The Westin (Melbourne & Perth), The Ritz-Carlton (Melbourne & Perth), W Hotels (Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane), Sheraton (Melbourne & Sydney), Marriott (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide), and The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Hobart.

“Marriott Bonvoy is proud to join with Tennis Australia to host the world’s top tennis talent, their support teams and extensive fan base over Australia’s Summer of Tennis. Our strategic partnership will continue to deliver our members and guests extraordinary sporting experiences to enjoy alongside our world class accommodations connecting people from all over the world as the spotlight shines on Australia,” Area Vice President - Australia, New Zealand & Pacific of Marriott International Jason Nuell said.

The Australian Open is the most attended Grand Slam tournament globally.

More than 1,100,000 fans attended in 2024 - of which 440,000 travelled from interstate or internationally to attend. The past three years of the Marriott Bonvoy and Tennis Australia partnership has allowed Marriott International to achieve significant business objectives including a rise in Marriott Bonvoy brand awareness and program engagement, as well as an increase in hotel occupancy and revenue in their portfolio of ten Melbourne hotels.

“The power of the Tennis Australia partnership in 2024 saw our member penetration rise from approximately 50 per cent to over 70 per cent during the tournament. We operated at high occupancy throughout the tournament and are currently pacing in line with last year. We also achieved an increase in revenue per available room year on year. Over 14 million Marriott Bonvoy points were burnt during the tournament, highlighting the interest from our global and local members in the experiences we curate as part of the partnership programming,” Nuell said.

This Summer of Tennis, the exclusive partnership will offer Marriott Bonvoy members access to over 60 unique Marriott Bonvoy MomentsTM packages which give members exclusive access to money-can’t-buy events and experiences like premium viewing tickets across marquee matches including both Women’s and Men’s finals and access to Marriott Bonvoy’s private hospitality suite.

There will also be opportunities to experience exclusive tennis clinics and events with tennis legends, along with iconic trophy photo opportunities.
