Australian Open 2025 dates are set for 6-26 January at Melbourne Park, guaranteeing fans three weeks of thrilling Grand Slam tennis.

Opening Week, with its focus on the qualifying competition plus exhibition matches, open practice sessions and Kids Tennis Day, kicks off on Monday 6 January before main-draw tournament action begins Sunday 12 January.

This marks the second straight year of a Sunday main-draw start, a change to the tournament’s schedule which fans have enthusiastically embraced.

The Australian Open’s first Sunday main-draw start in 2024, on 14 January, attracted a total of 87,705 spectators. Almost 60,000 of those attended during the day session.

Ultimately, more than 1.1 million fans attended across the three weeks of Australian Open 2024 – a Grand Slam record and an increase of more than 200,000 compared to the three-week period of AO 2023.

Tickets for Australian Open 2025 are scheduled to go on sale in October.
