After the huge success of the Australian Open’s first-ever Beach House in 2022, a stunning new and equally ambitious coastal precinct will be a landmark destination at the AO this summer.
The Beach Bar will see the northern side of Melbourne Park transformed into a vibrant beach club complete with private cabanas, palm trees and a double-storey bar crowned with a DJ booth towering over Melbourne Park – ensuring it will be the place to be and be seen this summer.

Topping off this luxurious new precinct are incredible new food and drink offerings from the likes of Josh Niland’s hugely popular Charcoal Fish and the AO’s first-ever spritz bar with a menu curated in association with Melbourne cocktail bar, The Everleigh.
“We are always striving to design new and memorable experience for fans and we can’t wait for them to enjoy the sleek and stylish new Beach Bar this summer,” said Tennis Australia Chief Commercial Officer Cedric Cornelis.
“Fans will be able to enjoy fresh seafood and a signature AO Spritz with friends, soundtracked by a rotating roster of some of Melbourne’s most in-demand DJs.”
Tennis Australia Head of Product Growth and Innovation Fern Barrett said, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Josh Niland’s Charcoal Fish coming to the AO for the first time, giving fans that authentic Aussie summer seafood feast with an AO spin. Josh is celebrated not only for his incredible fish butchery, but also his innovative concepts around sustainable produce and using the whole fish, influencing and educating other restauranteurs along the way.

“Between all of the action, tennis fans will be able to cool down with a signature AO Spritz from our first-ever Spritz Bar. Whether it be a French 75, the Service Break or a non-alcoholic Guava Margarita, there will be a refreshing option for everyone’s tastes.”
For the ultimate Beach Bar experience, fans can book one of the private cabanas with full food and drink service to enjoy with a group of friends, while still taking in all the on-court action on the big screen located in the Beach Bar.
