Australian Open 2020 will remain accessible to all fans with a price freeze on entry level tickets for Rod Laver Arena as well as all ground passes.
Starting from just $62, fans from Melbourne, Australia and around the world will be able to purchase tickets to watch the world’s best tennis players from inside Rod Laver Arena, with the added bonus of zero ticketing fees, an Australian first for major sports and entertainment events.
In more good news for fans, ground passes remain at $54 for adults ($64 for middle weekend) and $5 for kids, ensuring the family-friendly reputation of the Australian Open continues in 2020.
Tennis Australia Chief Revenue and Experience Officer Richard Heaselgrave said it was important to ensure the event remained accessible to everyone each year.
“Fans from around the world attend the Australian Open for so many different reasons each year. Whether it’s to watch all of the action at Rod Laver Arena, take in a concert at the AO Live Stage, treat the family to a day out in the AO Ballpark or catch up with friends on Grand Slam Oval, there is something for everyone,” Heaselgrave said.
“We have worked hard to increase our offerings on-site at Australian Open 2020 by expanding our food and entertainment options, as well as providing more opportunities to watch the world’s best players take to the court.
“Equally important to us is ensuring the tournament continues to offer a range of ticket options, empowering fans with the ability to choose.
“By freezing the prices of ground passes and entry level tickets to Rod Laver Arena, as well as removing ticketing fees, we hope to cement our long-held reputation for offering the best-value sports and entertainment tickets in the country.”
The Australian Open ground pass will continue to provide access to the AO Ballpark and AO Live Stage, as well as incredible world-class tennis on all outside courts and Melbourne Arena in 2020.
Reserved seating ticketing options are also available in Margaret Court Arena. Limited reserved seats in Melbourne Arena went on sale on 6 January.
