Aria-award winning band Sheppard will delight young fans as they headline the sixth annual Kids Tennis Day brought to you by ANZ Tennis Hot Shots on Saturday 13 January 2018.
The Australian group will perform live at the Rod Laver Arena Spectacular among some of the world’s best tennis stars, and will include special guest appearances from Marvel’s Spider-Man, Thor, Ant-Man and the Black Widow. The Walt Disney Company theme will continue throughout the day with the much-loved global media and entertainment giant recently announced as the Official Family Entertainment Partner of the Australian Open.
The AO Ballpark will return for the second year at Australian Open 2018 and will offer all-day entertainment on Kids Tennis Day. The mini theme park for kids will feature activations and attractions from The Walt Disney Company’s portfolio of brands – Star Wars, Marvel, Disney (Frozen, Moana) and Pixar (Cars). Kids will also be able to pick up a tennis racquet and play at the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots activation at the AO Ballpark.
“Kids Tennis Day is one of the highlights of the summer as it brings together some of the sport’s finest players, kids and of course some exciting Disney characters," Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said. “The event provides a fun and friendly atmosphere to enjoy everything the Australian Open has to offer and we look forward to seeing families and kids taking over Melbourne Park.”

The AO Ballpark will also feature LEGO, NERF as well as a 60-metre zipline, and will operate from Monday 15 January to Thursday 25 January.
