Fields announced for AO 2025 Intellectual Disability Championships and Deaf Championships

  • ausopen.com

The Australian Open 2025 will host its third annual Intellectual Disability (ID) Championships and Deaf Championships from Friday 24 January to Sunday 26 January, with both tournaments offering opportunities for players from diverse backgrounds to compete at an international level.

The Australian Open is committed to promoting inclusivity in sport, leading the way as the only Grand Slam to integrate tournaments for players with intellectual disabilities and those who are deaf.

The defending champions will lead the fields, including Australia’s own Archie Graham (ID Championships) and India’s Prithvi Sekhar (Deaf Championships), alongside rising Aussie talent Isabel Cairns, who at just 13 years old will take on the world’s best hearing-impaired tennis players in the open-age category.
