Top seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova stormed into the women's doubles quarterfinals with a 6-4 6-4 win over Americans Danielle Collins and Desirae Krawczyk.
"We were trying to play aggressive… I'm really happy that we played great," said Siniakova.

The long-time Czech pairing, finalists at Melbourne Park last year, have their sights set on upgrading to larger silverware this weekend, adding to a trophy cabinet that already includes 2018 French Open, 2018 Wimbledon and 2021 French Open doubles crowns.
Notably, 26-year-old Krejcikova, the fourth seed in the women's singles, will be looking to keep her hopes of hoisting the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup alive by clinching Tuesday's quarterfinal clash against Madison Keys.

Krejcikova and Siniakova, who claimed women's doubles gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, next face ninth seeds Caroline Dolehide and Storm Sanders, who advanced to the Australian Open final eight for the first time thanks to a 6-4 6-4 win over Ukrainian team Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska.
"This is absolutely unreal," grinned Sanders, the 27-year-old who hails from Western Australia. "There was such a great atmosphere today. Being into the quarters is a career-best for me here at home and we want to keep going."
"We weren't playing our best tennis out here, so mentally we just had to really focus on every point," admitted Dolehide. "At the end, I kept my head down and did what I had to do on my serve and Storm helped me out at the net.
"That's what makes us so good together. We prop each other up and no matter how we are playing, we always bounce back."
"I love playing with Caro," added Sanders. "We had some really good success last year and it's good to continue that partnership," referencing their run to the Wimbledon semifinals and US Open quarterfinals in 2021.
"We're obviously trying to win, but we like to have fun as well."
Elsewhere, Petra Martic and Shelby Rogers upset fifth seeds Alexa Guarachi and Nicole Melichar-Martinez 6-2 7-6(2), while second seeds Shuka Aoyama and Ena Shibahara, both from Japan, battled past Russian 16th seeds Viktoria Kuzmova and Vera Zvonareva 1-6 7-5 6-3.
In men's action, Australians Matt Ebden and Max Purcell upset 13th seeds Raven Klaasen and Ben McLachlan 7-6(3) 6-3.

"We held our composure, stayed strong and got it done so we're super happy," said Ebden.
"I'm really fortunate to have Matty take me under his wing on the doubles court and hopefully we can take it further this week," added Purcell.
The duo's quarterfinal opponents are Dutchman Wesley Koolhof and Brit Neal Skupski, who took out Marcos Giron and Soonwoo Kwon 6-3 6-4. The 10th seeds are undefeated this season, winning titles in Melbourne and Adelaide to jumpstart a brand new partnership.

"I think we came in with a lot of confidence, we didn't lose a match yet since the first of January," said 32-year-old Koolhof. "The feeling is great on court."
"We didn't expect this to go so well at the start," admitted Skupski. "We've clicked straight away, said the Brit. "We're just riding the wave and (will) see how long it can take us."
Ebden and Purcell are hoping to jar the duo's momentum. "In our home Slam and with this crowd behind us, we just want to go crazy and go for it. That's our plan," said Ebden, a Perth resident.
Elsewhere, second seeds Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury 6-4 6-4 defeated Aussie wildcards Dale Sweeny and Li Tu in a little over an hour.
"We love playing here, we love Australia, I think the conditions suit us," Salisbury said. "We feel, good, playing well, happy to be in the quarterfinals."
The Anglo-American combination won the title in 2020, but lost last year's final. Looking to make amends, they take on the Italian combination of Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini, the 2015 champions, in the quarterfinals.
"We're definitely going to have our work cut out for us," Ram said of the match-up.
In mixed doubles action, quarterfinal berths were secured by second seeds Shuai Zhang and John Peers, who progressed 7-5 6-3 over Bernada Pera and Koolhof.
Also into the final eight are Lucie Hradecka and Gonzalo Escobar, who bested Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arevalo 6-4 6-4, and New Zealand duo Erin Routliffe and Michael Venus, who scored a 6-3 7-5 upset over fourth seeds Guarachi and Tim Puetz.
In another surprise, Australians Jamie Fourlis and Jason Kubler slayed fellow wildcard pairing Sam Stosur and Ebden, who were mixed doubles finalists here in 2021.
Fourlis and Kubler, a new team, secured a quarterfinals slot with a dramatic 3-6 7-5 [11-9] victory, during which they saved four match points.
