AO StartUps spotlight: PAM

  • ausopen.com

PAM is a leader in building connected environments through smart navigation and digital wayfinding technology.

The LA & Sydney-based start-up is one of seven companies selected to be part of the 2023 AO StartUps mid-year portfolio.

Fans attending Australian Open 2024 will for the first time have access to intuitive digital navigation on the official AO mobile app and website.

Utilising PAM’s technology, TA’s Digital team will launch a dedicated AO24 eXplorer map offering a trusted digital touchpoint for fans to find locations and experiences including food outlets, merchandise stores, amenities and VIP concierge.

“PAM is delighted to partner with AO StartUps to demonstrate our advanced technology at the Australian Open in 2024,” said PAM CEO Stephen Minning.

“This collaboration will deliver benefits to everyone; from improving the amenity, safety, accessibility and experience for fans, while also driving efficiency and commercial benefits for the operators of this large sporting event and smart city district.

“Embracing new technologies like the PAM Smart Navigation platform, connecting people to places, sports & entertainment venues will prosper. Thanks to the AO StartUps program for providing this opportunity for PAM to demonstrate it on the world stage.”

PAM was recently honoured with the prestigious Smart 50 Award, recognising their commitment to innovation and revolutionising smart city navigation. Their growing portfolio of global partners also includes SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park – home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams.

AO StartUps is led by Tennis Australia’s Innovation team and follows the launch of Tennis Australia’s Venture Capital fund (Wildcard Ventures) and its multi-year partnership with global accelerator powerhouse, Techstars.
