The Australian Open has extended its partnership with premium French Champagne House Piper-Heidsieck as Official Champagne for the tournament.

“We’re delighted to extend this important partnership with globally renowned Piper-Heidsieck as our Official Champagne of the Australian Open,” Australian Open Tournament Director Craig Tiley said.

“When we first joined forces in 2019, we were excited about working together to design more memorable opportunities at the AO, and our expectations have certainly been exceeded.

“Piper-Heidsieck’s innovative approach to creating unexpected and premium experiences for tennis fans at the Australian Open is unmatched.”

Piper-Heidsieck General Manager Benoît Collard added: “We are proud to continue to serve Australia as the Official Champagne of the Australian Open.

“Like any great doubles team, our formidable partnership blends our desire to bring unique, yet authentic experiences, with the overwhelming post-pandemic desire to celebrate life as Australians flock to reunite.

“As the first and only Champagne partner of the Australian Open, we are committed to not only the Australian Open but the Australian market, and we can’t wait to pop the cork on an unmissable summer of tennis and Champagne."

The Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Bar was a big hit at the AO this year, and tennis fans and Champagne lovers alike will be able to enjoy its return, with an expanded footprint on the Rod Laver Arena Terrace for AO 2022.

The partnership will also be brought to life in a series of activations, both on and off site, and around the country with further details to be announced soon.

Piper-Heidsieck will pour a range of champagnes across the Australian Open precinct, including its signature Essentiel Cuvée.
